Leonardo Bonucci believes Juventus‘ character was vital in their 1-0 win at Lazio in the quarter final of the Coppa Italia.
Former Lazio man Stephan Lichtsteiner scored the only goal of the game and Bonucci is already looking ahead to the semi-final against Inter.
“We faced a good Lazio side tonight, but we showed our character on the pitch and played our own game,” Bonucci told Rai Sport after the game.
“It could have been an even bigger scoreline, but the important thing was to win and progress to the next round.
“Juventus always have to win, we must spit blood every time we step on to the pitch.
“In order to compete in three different competitions, we need everyone in the squad to contribute.
“It will be a tough challenge to take on Inter in the semi-finals, but right now we have to focus on Serie A.
“Napoli are two points in front but we are up there and we want to fight to the end.”
Next up for Juventus in Serie A is a home match against Roma.
