Miroslav Klose - LazioLazio’s Miroslav Klose has condemned the crowd trouble that twice halted their 3-0 victory over Palermo at the Stadio Renzo Barbera in Serie A.

The Rosanero’s supporters reacted angrily as the Biancocelesti took an early lead, subsequently throwing flares onto the pitch, and the experienced Klose has since claimed that these type of actions are particularly discouraging for the younger players.

“These things should not be normal in football,” said Klose to Sky Sport Italia. “Everyone is angry because they do not want to go to Serie B.

“But the squad have lots of young players and it difficult for these guys.”

Furthermore, there had been an earlier skirmish outside the stadium, as both sets of fans clashed in the streets of Palermo.

As for the Aquile’s improved performance, the 37-year-old has dampened hopes of obtaining a Europa League spot this season, claiming that they must now take every match as they come and simply try to demonstrate the quality within the squad.

“We have done a lot of thinking during ritiro and we have stressed that everything is up to us and we have to display our talent on the field,” Klose added.

“The objective at the moment is to think about the next match. Nothing more.”
