Bologna coach Roberto Donadoni hailed his players’ human qualities after drawing 0-0 Empoli.
He added he was pleased with the performance against the Azzurri and believes his team deserves an eight out of 10 for the season.
“The start of the season was difficult, and with their reaction the boys showed their human qualities,” Donadoni told Rai Sport.
“It’s important to have been consistent in the last two games against Genoa and Empoli, I’m happy with the players’ performance.
“Empoli aren’t an easy side to face, but we played well and responded positively.
“We will want to end the home games next week with another solid display.
“I think the lads deserve an eight out of 10 for their season, showing human skills as well as technical ones.”
Asked about the possibility of coaching Italy after Antonio Conte, Donadoni was not interested in responding to the speculation.
“I don’t want to talk about it anymore,” Donadoni asserted. “I have a contract with Bologna and my intention is to stay.”
