Inter have officially reached a basic agreement with Dutch tactician Frank de Boer over his potential succession to Roberto Mancini as coach.

Mancini left the Nerazzurri recently after tensions between him and the club gradually worsened over time, and former Ajax boss De Boer looks set to be a quick replacement.

As reported by gazzetta.it, the 46-year-old will sign a three-year contract, worth €2 million for the first year and €3m for the next.

De Boer was Ajax boss between 2010 and 2016, after joining them at the end of a spell as Netherlands coach, where he won four straight Dutch Eredivisie league titles and the Johan Cruyff Shield.

It is De Boer’s first stint in Italy as either player or coach, after spending time with Ajax, Barcelona, Galatasaray and Rangers during his playing career.
