The German international is not wanted by new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho and has been linked with a move to the current Serie A champions for a while.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations have taken a step further, with the English Premier League side outright offering Schweinsteiger to the Bianconeri, hoping that he will make his way to Turin as a result of the recent return of Paul Pogba to Old Trafford.
There are a couple of other clubs on the peninsula interested in the 32-year-old’s services, namely Inter, Lazio and AC Milan.
Schweinsteiger moved to United last year after spending 13 years with German giants Bayern Munich, and has appeared 31 times since in all competitions.
