Pescara president Daniele Sabatini has rejected the possibility of signing Mario Balotelli from Liverpool, judging the move as unrealistic.

As Balotelli’s days at Liverpool are clearly over, many clubs are expected to make an approach for his services and Besiktas have already made the initial contacts, but newly promoted Serie A side Pescara will not be bringing him back to Italy.

“The name Balotelli gets brought up a lot, but Mario is a great player and the last thing I think he will do is come and play for Pescara or Crotone,” Sabatini told Premium Sport.

“I know where we have to take action, but we also must remain patient and do our market.

“We don’t have to bring in celebrities to please someone.”

The Serie A newcomers have lost their best goal-scorer from last season, Gianluca Lapadula, who joined AC Milan and they are now searching to find his replacement.
