The build up to the new season is well an truly underway, the schedule has been announced, the transfer rumour mill is in full swing and now the new ball for the 2011/2012 Serie A season has been unveiled by Nike.
It is the fifth consecutive season the company have provided the ball for Italian football’s number one competition.
According to Nike Italy GM Andrea Rossi: “The main characteristics of this ball are accuracy, stability and visibility.It was developed in Oregon and tested by athletes and teams.
“It consists of five different layers which ensure perfect distribution of the kinetic force increasing shooting accuracy and long ball accuracy.
“This stability has been studied in a wind tunnel ”
Named the Seitiro, it will debut in Beijing on August 6 at the Supercoppa Italiana final between Inter and Milan.
