Chievo 0-0 Roma: Gialloblu Unlucky On Horrendous Pitch

Chievo and Roma played out a goalless draw in horrible conditions on a waterlogged Bentegodi pitch in a game that was perhaps lucky to go ahead.

Play was difficult from the start with areas of the pitch so muddy and weighed down with water that the ball could not move freely, somewhat akin to Roma’s rain-soaked game away to Catania earlier this season.

Bojan Krkic went closest for the visitors in the first half with a curling effort before Simon Kjaer’s excellent block prevented Sergio Pellissier putting the Flying Donkeys ahead.

Gianluci Curci made a fine save from Michael Bradley’s long-range effort and Pellissier spurned an excellent chance in the closing stages when he fired over when in space inside the area.

Do you think Chievo CB Francesco Acerbi is any good? I haven’t seen him play but read AC Milan were looking at him. Any info appreciated 🙂

  2. Does seem a good player Acerbi and I do like the look of him but it is still quite early to tell whether he would make the step up to Milan.

Played a lot in second half of this season especially and has looked good but not enough games I don’t think to truly tell but definitely been a good player for them.

And he seems very much open to a move to Milan too (a massive Rossoneri fan).
