Udinese’s Maicosuel was all smiles after helping Udinese to their second win of the season over Pescara on Sunday.

The Brazilian scored a close range effort just after the restart and gave Udinese the three points despite playing most of the match on 10 men after Danilo was sent off in the 31st minute.

“I am very happy, I must thank everyone for their faith,” the 26-year-old said after scoring his second goal for the Friulani.

“I saw a lot of character today. It was a good victory, we must continue like this.”

Maicosuel believes he has put his penalty debacle against Braga in the Champions League behind him. The mistake cost Udinese a chance to qualify for the group stages.

“I believe it is all over. I am well liked and we have forgotten about it.”

Udinese will look to build from this win next Sunday when they travel to the Olimpico to take on Roma in the primetime matchup.
