Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci was happy to see his side take care of business as the Bianconeri strolled to a 4-0 victory over Nordjsaelland in Champions League action on Wednesday night.

The victory leaves Juve with a chance to qualify for the next round if they are able to gain 4 points from their next two matches against Chelsea and Shakhtar, something Bonucci is confident of.

“It is a difficult group but we want to go through. Our heads are already thinking about Pescara, but then we will shift back to the Champions League right away because it is an important objective for us.”

“In the first match Shakhtar gave us difficulties due to their passing, while Chelsea have great players. We must look at things game-by-game but we must beat Chelsea and then try to get a result in Donetsk.”

“In Europe you cannot concede anything and we always take the pitch to win: we are Juve.”

“We wanted to show that this Juve is the same as the one from last season. If we didn’t enter the pitch with the same aggression in previous matches it is our fault. However tonight we showed that is not the case.”

Bonucci touched the ball 115 times, 8 more than Andrea Pirlo, which highlighted the defenders importance to the Bianconeri’s tactical setup.

“Game after game a player acquires a certain level of belief and the movements come naturally. When the opposition put an extra man on Pirlo then I try to distribute the ball, doing whatever the coach asks me to do.”
