Gianluigi Buffon had little to do in Juventus’ Champions League match as the Bianconeri dominated against Nordsjaelland and cruised to a 4-0 victory.

Buffon was a spectator for most of the match, to the point that he was happy to make a routine save in order to get a touch.

“I dirtied my gloves!,” he exclaimed to Sky Sport Italia.

“It wasn’t a great save, but if I didn’t make it then I would of had to give up playing. The only way I would have given up a goal was if I fainted.”

“Nothing changes with Chelsea’s victory especially for us Italians who are always influenced by the results of others. We almost always only look at the other team’s results and think that they are more important than our own.”

“The best thing is that we have two matches to play until the end and qualification is in our own hands. If we deserve to, we will go through, otherwise I think we will go to the Europa League.”

“The two matches [against Chelsea and Shakhtar] are both different. Chelsea’s players have a certain level of experience and are a club with international recognition, making them used to playing in matches of certain importance.

“In my opinion, Shakhtar are more unpredicatable thanks to their overall quality and the quality of their individual players. They are a tough squad to encounter, but the thing that comforts me is that they think of Juve in the same manner.”
