AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is looking forward with anticipation to this weekend’s marquee matchup against Roma.

The Rossoneri take on the Giallorossi this Saturday and Allegri is looking forward to the prospect of facing one of the top clubs in the Serie A.

“Roma are a team that, once they start to play and develop their attacking game, they become very dangerous. We have to play a good game with regards to every aspect of the game, knowing that we’ll be up against one of the three best teams in the league with players that suit Zeman’s philosophy.”

“The way that Roma play tends to leave you space even though they have been conceding less as of late. We’ll have to play an intelligent game.”

On the transfer front, Allegri has admitted that he’ll need a new striker if the club decide to sell Robinho and Alexandre Pato in the January window.

The duo have offers from Brazil and Adriano Galliani is set to fly to South America on Sunday to begin talks.

“If Pato and Robinho are to leave then we’ll need another striker. Five strikers is the right number, but it all depends on the results of Galliani’s trip. From there we will assess what are the best solutions are to strengthen the team. However it is pointless to talk about at this point.”

“If a player is to arrive then it will be an important player. If it is an important player then that means they would have already played in the Champions League this season.”

Reports in Italy have begun to swirl that Mario Balotelli could be brought in by the Rossoneri, but Allegri was coy on those rumours.

“I’ve never trained Balotelli and until I do I can’t pass judgment on him. He’s a Manchester City player and there’s no point in talking about him.”
