Siena have confirmed the sacking of their manager Serse Cosmi after Sunday’s 4-1 defeat away to Fiorentina.
“A.C. Siena have removed Coach Serse Cosmi from his position,” a statement from the club’s website read.
“The club thanks the Coach and his staff for the work done with dedication and great professionalism over the last few months.”
Siena started the season ith a six point deduction but with three recent straight losses, all of which by two goals or more, proved to be the final straw for Cosmi’s time as Siena manager.
I shall miss Cosmi. He did a great job early on last season at Lecce, but they faded badly towards the end, and that bad run looks to have followed him to Siena.
