Former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato has given his first interview since his move back to Brazil with Corinthians.
The 23-year-old has revealed it was the fans of the Brazilian side that persuaded him to choose the Time do Povo.
“I decided to come back because I felt the warmth of the Corinthians fans,” he told Globo Esporte.
“That was what helped me choose. It is a new adventure and I want to give my best for the fans.
“I have a four-year contract and I’m incredibly happy – I’ve been welcomed with open arms.”
Pato also spoke about his relationship with Rossoneri president Silvio Berlusconi, who recently suggested he will be back in Milan in a year.
“He was a very important person in my career and has always been nice. But for now, I am thinking only of Corinthians.”
