Former Inter striker Marko Livaja has confessed to liking cross-town rivals AC Milan.

The Croatian was signed by Atalanta in a co-ownership deal and has already distanced himself from his parent club.

“After the arrival of [Tommaso] Rocchi I made it clear that I wanted to play more,” Livaja told Sportweek.

“I was told to wait fifteen days and I agreed.

“Andrea Stramaccioni told me after the Roma game that I was important, that I would not be moved”.

Livaja signed a one-and-a-half year contract with the Nerazzurri on the final day of the January transfer window.

“Marco Branca came to me and told me I’d been sold to take [Ezequiel] Schelotto from Atalanta.

“I wanted to play and I have this opportunity at Atalanta. The stadium is always full and there are so many young players.”

Livaja was quizzed on his future with Inter and insisted it would hinge on his involvement with the first team.

“I’ll only return to Inter if I get playing time. However, I like AC Milan because Boban used to play there.”

The 19 year-old has made ten appearances for Atalanta this season netting twice.
