Manhchester City striker Carlos Tevez has revealed AC Milan were willing to part with £17 million for his services before the deal collapsed in 2012.
The Argentine looked set to join the Rossoneri after falling out with City boss Roberto Mancini, but Milan could not afford his transfer fee after Alexandre’s Pato move to PSG collapsed.
“Who will pay my buy-out clause? When I wasn’t playing, City wanted to sell me to AC Milan for £17 million,” he told an Argentine radio station.
“Now that I am playing it is even more difficult for me to change clubs.”
“I would die just to return to Boca. My daughter asks me about it often but it is very difficult at this time.”
