Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia has come out and declared he would rather have Diego Milito on his side than the likes of Napoli’s Edinson Cavani.

In the wake of Napoli’s thrashing of Inter yesterday, which saw Cavani score a hat trick against the Nerazzuri, Ranocchia refused to admit that the striker is the most dangerous in Serie A.

While interviewed by Inter Channel the defender said, “Is Cavani the hardest player to mark? They always ask me this and I always say the same thing – it’s Milito and fortunately I’m on the same team as him now.”

The Italian international did not deny Cavani’s ability but was adamant of his view that his Argentinian teammate is superior.

Milito has missed a large chunk of the season having after sustaining a season ending injury back in February against Cluj in the Europa League.
