Inter are reportedly considering the inclusion of Samir Handanovic in their bid to land Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

Handanovic, 28, is a reported target for the Catalan club after long-serving keeper Victor Valdes revealed plans to leave the club at the end of the season.

The Slovenian international has been one of the Nerazzurri’s star performers, in what has been a disappointing campaign for Andrea Stramaccioni’s men.

Inter are determined to land Fabregas, 26, however, and are ready to battle rivals AC Milan and Arsenal for the Spaniard’s signature.

Fabregas returned to Barcelona in 2011 after spending eight years in the Premier League with Arsenal. Before his move back to his boyhood club, it is rumoured that both Milan teams tried to sign the Spanish midfielder.

If Inter fail in a permanent bid to buy Fabregas, even with Handanovic included in the deal, the Nerazzurri will look into a loan deal with the option to buy. Luka Modric is also a potential back-up target.

The Barcelona midfielder has made 28 appearances this season, scoring ten goals.
