Juventus' Iaquinta misses a golden opportunityThe father of Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta has opened up about his son’s experience in Turin, hitting out at the club for the way in which his son was treated.

He joined the Bianconeri in 2007 after a very successful spell at Udinese in a €12m deal but made no appearances whatsoever during their past two title winning campaigns and his contract with the club expires this week.

His father, speaking to TuttoJuve, said: “What has happened to him in the past two years took a great deal of strength for him to endure and I say that speaking as his father I know how much it hurt him.

“Of course there is great disappointment at how things went and how he was treated by Juventus.”

The 33-year-old spent a period of the 2011/12 season on loan at Cesena but is undecided about where his future now lies.

“We have not decided anything yet,” continued Giuseppe Iaquinta who also acts as his agent. “Any decision will be entirely up to him as there are many things for us to consider at the moment and he may even retire.”

He was offered multiple loan deals but turned them all down. I don’t feel sorry for him whatsoever.
