Palermo have once again reiterated that Inter must sign Matias Silvestre due to an agreement made at the time of his loan.
The Argentine joined the Nerazzurri on loan last summer but struggled to capture his form, making only nine Serie A appearances.
“There is no Silvestre situation and there is nothing to discuss with Inter because everything has been pre-agreed,” Palermo director Giorgio Perinetti told FC Inter News.
“Inter will be forced to complete the signing of Silvestre. They haven’t done so yet, but they will before June 20.
“He’ll cost €6 million.”
While Inter will be forced to exercise their option on the 28-year-old, it is expected that they will look to sell him on as he does not fit into new coach Walter Mazzarri’s plans.
