Alessandro Matri - JuventusAC Milan are planning to swoop for Juventus forward Alessandro Matri, but any move for the player is dependant on the outcome of their Champions League playoff tie against PSV Eindhoven.

The Rossoneri and the Dutch side drew 1-1 in a tight encounter at the Philips Stadion on August 20, and they will face off again for the second leg of the tie at the San Siro on Wednesday for a place in the group stages of Europe’s premier club competition.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Rossoneri could return to the market if they are successful in reaching the group stages, and are targeting 29-year-old Italian international hit-man Matri, with Giampaolo Pazzini out injured, and Andrea Petagna being deemed too inexperienced at the moment.

The Via Turati club might come forward for their former youth product in the final days of the transfer window, with Napoli and Liverpool also having been linked with the striker, who has been deemed surplus to requirements in Turin by coach Antonio Conte.

Matri has been at the Juventus Stadium since moving from Sardinian side Cagliari in 2011, and has 29 goals in 84 games for the club.

Let’s bring another guy who is slow and can’t dribble past anyone…bravo Milan, hope PSV kicks you to Europa League, then Galliani would learn a lesson…

Ac milan fan for the last 10 years. No interest anymore. Can understand the financial hardships but desire not to spend money is clear and hence picking 2nd rate players has become ridiculous. Seems 1st place is not the objective and management are ok with finishing 2nd 3rd etc..
