Erik Lamela - RomaErik Lamela’s move to Tottenham Hotspurs seems imminent after his brother confirmed the Roma star is in London.

The Argentine starlet has been in negotiations with the Premier League club for the past few days as the two clubs have seemingly agreed on a transfer fee.

His brother Brian, posted on Twitter:

“Erik is in London. Yes, it is certain, we hope that everything will be completed in a few hours.”

The Roma fans will not be too pleased with the 21-year old’s departure and had made their displeasure clear at the team’s official presentation at the Stadio Olimpico.

OMFG I DREAMED about Lamela coming toSpurs all the way back in March. This is a dream transfer. I honestly think Lamela will end up being better than Bale. Think of our starting lineup with or without Bale this year:
    Lloris
    Walker – Kaboul – Vertonghen – Rose/Coentrao
    Sandro – Dembele (for example)
    Lamela – Willian – Chadli/Bale
    Soldado

    Juz forget about Willian.
He is still considering his options.
If he don’t agree with salary juz forget about signing him furthermore 30m is overpriced
for an untested Brazilian in BPL.
Just get Lamela and more time for Townsend on the right and Chadli stay on the left.
The way he play isn’t much better than Townsend.
Tell his f#*%*g agent to bring back this shit or go somewhere else.
    Enough of this shit!

    No Paulinho?

    Better re-think after Townsend’s performance tonight…
Love Lamala but think Willian is no longer required…

(Word, Townsend is pretty much on par with Lennon imo right now just the difference is that he can score goals. And Willian can go diddle it up his ass. You dont fly over to a club for negotiations and change your mind after your medical for a rival club in the same city. Id be happy if we ditched Willian and went all in for Eriksen (If we lose Bale). That way, we’d have Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli, Townsend, Lennon and maybe Dembele (He IS a natural CAM in fact, and I wouldbt be surprised to see him in CAM position now that Paulinho and Capoue have arrived). I would be relatively happy with that attacking midfield. Still, Id much rather have Bale, Lamela, Townsend, Chadli, Lennon, Willian & possibly Dembele…….

Well said RHuss. 30 Million is already a Lot of money. IF THE AGENT IS SO GREEDY, then this type of mentality IS NOT for Spurs.
    DITCH HIM.

I agree if its all about money what does this say about his character?sit on the bench at chels or play regularly for spurs ?for me its a no brainer but if he has to think about this ta ta

I’d put Townsend above Lennon in terms of delivery and finishing.

Willan’s club were offered more by Chelsea. Lets hope he rebuffs them as he’s been a long sought after AVB target.

Another consideration AVB must have is whether to play Naughton at right full back. He’s a more intelligent football player than Walker is. This may be best demonstrated by his more timely passing to those in good positions. Lennon suffered most for Walker’s seeming inability to do this. What’s more, I’d contend Naughton has better defensive instincts for full back play than Walker!

With Lamela or Willan and even better with both, there would be real high class attacking flair added to any side. They’d be best inclined to create and attack with confidence when assured that there are really capable defenders in their team’s rear guard.
