Gino Peruzzi Velez SarsfieldWith his fitness improving day-by-day Catania’s Gino Peruzzi could finally make his Elefanti debut against Napoli at the San Paolo on November 2.

Injured with former club Velez Sarsfield the 21-year-old has been forced to watch from the sidelines as the Sicilian club lost their opening two Serie A fixtures.

However, according to Tuttomercatoweb the Argentinean international has progressed quicker than expected and will provide coach Rolando Maran with a welcome boost for the match with one of the Scudetto challengers.

Last season Peruzzi made 29 appearances in the Argentine Primera Division scoring once for the side and his form alerted the Serie A club to the defender who was then signed by the Rossazzurri for a fee of around €3.4 million.

The right-back, who can also operate in midfield, becomes the 13th Argentine at the Sicilian club.
