Fiorentina have been linked with a move for Tommaso Rocchi or Ciprian Marica with news that Mario Gomez is set to miss the next six weeks of action.

The German striker injured his right knee during the club’s 1-1 draw against Cagliari on Sunday as a result the Viola could sign a striker to fill his void given he is set to miss the next six weeks of action.

Sky Sport are reporting that the Gigliati are looking to sign a striker that would be able to cover for the German immediately as Giuseppe Rossi and Ante Rebic are the only striker’s currently healthy in the squad.

As a result the Gigliati have been linked with moves for Rocchi and Marica, both of whom are currently free agents after being unable to secure contracts during the summer.

Rocchi finished last season with Inter where he scored two goals in eight appearances before being released during the summer.

Marica last played for German club Schalke where the 27-year-old scored three goals in 13 appearances last season.
