Former Brazil and Inter striker Ronaldo has praised Italy forward Mario Balotelli, claiming that he is already loved by the Brazilian people.
Following the Azzurri’s relatively easy route to qualifying for next summer’s World Cup, Ronaldo has said that his compatriots are expecting more of the same from the Italians and the 23-year-old AC Milan star at the tournament.
The Azzurri confirmed their place at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with a 2-1 win against the Czech Republic on Wednesday evening, with Balotelli scoring the decisive penalty in the match.
“Brazilians fell in love with him during the Confederations Cup in June,” Ronaldo told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“That means that he’s a real talent. Where I’m from, football-wise, we are very picky. We expect him to take the final step up in quality.
“Also it is great to have another star at the World Cup. It only depends on him.”
Bravo Ronaldo and his fellow Brazilians for recognizing Mario’s talents! Now if only Balotellis fellow Italians could do the same and stop hating on him. FORZA ITALIA !!!!
