Chievo goalkeeper Christian Puggioni expressed his delight at securing a 0-0 draw against AC Milan at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi on Sunday.
With the Rossoneri also struggling for form since the start of the season, the 32-year-old reiterated that Milan were a difficult side to defeat nonetheless due to the quality of the players at their disposal.
“Personally, it went well,” Puggioni told Sky Sport Italia.
“We have collected a point, even against a Milan side in difficulty, but they still have important players.
“We gave a good team performance and showed compactness.
“We always play for ourselves, for the coach, club and for our fans.
“We needed a big performance today and we gave it.
“We have two weeks of work before the derby [with Hellas Verona], we know that we are important players.”
