AC Milan are reportedly considering loaning out midfielder Riccardo Saponara.

The 21-year-old joined Milan in summer after being bought from Empoli in January, but the return of Riccardo Kaka and the expected arrival of Keisuke Honda means that Saponara would continue to struggle for consistent playing time.

Sky Sports Italia report that Milan have decided to loan out the midfielder, but for the moment have not found an ideal suitor for the player.

Saponara scored 13 goals and registered 15 assists for Empoli in Serie B but has only seen two Serie A appearances for Milan.

The Italian also was called up to represent Italy in the u-21 European Championships in Israel in summer.

Should have been given more chances. If Milan switch to a 4-2-3-1 we could use the depth too. I bet if someone gets injured they would want him back. I feel like he is going to be a star.
