Manchester United are tracking Paris Saint-Germain starlet Marco Verratti and teammate Blaise Matuidi during this January’s transfer window.

The Red Devils’ priority is midfield reinforcement after remaining winless in four matches to start 2014.

According to the Daily Mail, United have been scouting Europe’s top midfield talent and David Moyes is interested in making a double swoop for the PSG duo.

Verratti, joined the French side in the summer of 2012 and has become a key figure for the French club since joining from Serie B side Pescara.

The Italian international has appeared 23 times for PSG this season.

Matuidi is out of contract at the end of the season and rumours have suggested PSG could cash in on him in January, rather than losing him in the summer for nothin.

The 26-year-old joined the club in 2011 and has has made 25 appearances this season.

    There is absolutely no way PSG will sell Veratti, I don’t know how you can even claim that, he is the future of the team and they have absolutely no reason to sell him. Matuidi neither, they are both the backbone of psg.

    PSG should please let Marco Verratti move to manchester united. If a player handin a transfer request that he wants to leave, why don’t let him go. They should let him go, not minding if his is their key player or not, since he wants to leave fyn. Manchester united should bid for him and make the player available at the club before the transfer deadline on 31st.

    @ Young Ney
    Lol you really are extremely naive if you think Verratti is going to leave for United. Hes a key player in the CL and the league. When the hell did he ask for a transfer? He loves Paris and has stated it several times. His son is going to be born in Paris or did you not know? Lol go back to dreaming on Reus.

    Johnson,just forget your wards. If a player wants to leave
    no matter how good the club is he can.

    @Ericson

    Except he never said he wants to leave. He’s not one of the players that fit into that category. Plus, players are bound by contracts not decisions otherwise Lewandowski would’ve gone to Bayern years ago.

    As Man Utd are known to be desperate for any decent player, they are linking every player in Europe with them.
    Man Utd may buy one player in January, probably a midfielder, but as they dont like to spend money, they will get some second rater.

    If I can recall correctly, last year we got the best striker in England at the time, and in previous years we’ve made great transfer deals.

    Last year what did Wigan get? Oh yeah, relegation. Keep your talk restricted to the Championship, you haven’t got any right to be going on about the Champions of the EPL.
