Inter are now chasing Real Madrid defender Daniel Carvajal and could rival Arsenal for his services.

The 22-year old had a superb debut season in the Bundesliga last year but has failed to reproduce his fine form since his move to the Spanish side though there may be competition between Inter and Arsenal as they could be set to battle it out for the Spain U-21’s signature.

It is being reported by the website www.miusoccer.com, that the Italian giants are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements and the San Siro side are chasing the Real Madrid right-back who is believed to be a main target.

Inter have also set their sights on Barcelona youngster Martin Montoya and have recently reached a deal which will bring Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic to the Nerazzurri at the current season’s end.

Starting as a Los Blancos youth player, Carvajal re-joined the capital side from Bayer Leverkusen for €6.5 million in the 2013 summer transfer window and has made 30 appearances thus far this season whilst contributing with two assists.
