AC Milan have stepped up their attempts to sign Adel Taarabt from Queens Park Rangers.

The 25 year-old spent last season on loan with the Rossoneri but has been forced to wait for a permanent transfer.

However Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Moroccan international could return to the San Siro sooner rather than later.

Agent Kia Joorabchian has arrived in Italy to discuss the ongoing situation with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani.

QPR had initially shown little interest in involving Taarabt pre-season but Harry Redknapp has had a change of heart.

Filippo Inzaghi is keen to add Taarabt to his squad in a supporting role but QPR’s reluctance to sell could be an issue.

Milan will pay no more than €4m for a player the English media have portrayed as a ‘bad boy’ character.
