Genoa will reportedly pursue AC Milan defender Pablo Armero during the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old, who joined the Rossoneri on a season-long loan from Udinese over the summer, has failed to become a key player in Pippo Inzaghi’s line up since his arrival and may be close to finishing off his season with the Grifone.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is considering a loan move for the Colombian international and may push to secure his services within the coming weeks.

Armero, who originally played for Udinese from 2010-13, returned to the Zebrette in June after having unsuccessful stints at both Napoli and West Ham United during the 2013-14 campaign and was almost immediately sent to AC Milan on loan for an initial fee of around €500,000.

The left-back has provided one assist in his five Serie A appearances for the San Siro outfit this season thus far.
