AC Milan legend Gennaro Gattuso could be managing Rangers in the near future.

The 37-year-old played for the Scottish club before spending over a decade with the Rossoneri, but has expressed interest in returning to Glasgow to manage the side.

The Daily Mail reports that there is a strong chance that the World Cup winner will be on the bench of the Scottish Championship side, who Gattuso said, “belonged in his heart,” in a recent interview with the same English newspaper.

The Italian scored three goals in 34 appearances for the Scots at the age of 19, and has recently resigned as coach of Crete after moving there when he was sacked as coach of Serie B side Palermo.
