According to reports in Italy, reigning champions Juventus are considering a move for out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho during the January transfer window, but could face competition from fellow Serie A side AC Milan.

Despite playing a significant part in Brazil’s run to the World Cup semi-finals during the summer the 26-year-old has struggled to secure a place in the Spurs first-team failing to make a single start under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Tuttomercatoweb have reported that Bianconeri officials have already staged initial discussions with the Premier League side and although interest from others, including the Rossoneri, is expected in the coming days they have a clear advantage over any challengers for his signature.

Although he may be struggling this campaign the Brazilian was virtually ever-present for the London club last term making 30 league appearances and scoring six times during his debut season in England.
