Carmona – Atalanta
Atletico Madrid are hopeful of getting a deal completed for Atalanta midfielder Carlos Carmona by the end of the month.
The 28-year-old Chilean international has been a loyal servant for the Orobici since moving from Reggina in 2010, and looks set for a move to a bigger club in the summer.
Fichajes.net reports that Atletico boss Diego Simeone is an admirer of the tigerish midfielder, and is confident of beating out Sevilla to Carmona’s signature.
The player’s entourage is said to be flying out to Madrid in the coming weeks to deal directly with Atletico, with an aim of getting the deal done before June.
Carmona has made 129 appearances for Atalanta in his career, scoring five goals.
