AC Milan midfielder Marco van Ginkel was rightfully overjoyed after scoring his first goal with the Rossoneri during their 2-1 defeat of Roma at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday evening.

The 22-year-old scored the opening goal after latching on to a Keisuke Honda cross and beating Morgan De Sanctis, and the on loan midfielder revealed his joy at the strike.

“I am very happy for my first goal with a Milan shirt and for the victory of the team,” he stated while speaking to Rai Sport.

“Today we got an important result against Roma at the end of a very difficult match. We are very happy.”

Milan’s next match will see them travel to Emilia Romagna to take on Sassuolo.

  1. Chelsea Alan says:

I really want to see Chelsea bring this lad home in the summer and add him to our squad for next season. Marco van Ginkle is the ideal partner for Nemanja Matic in front of our back four. He is young, talented and very comfortable on the ball going forward. He is a fierce tackler and gives 101% of himself in every game. He is also an intelligent footballer that Jose could mold into a World star. Best of all he is already owned by Chelsea and could save the club a fortune from paying out a Kings ransome for Paul Pogba. We don’t need Podgba when we already own van Ginkle.
