AC Milan are set to pay Jackson Martinez’s release clause from Porto in order to secure the striker’s signature.

Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani has flown to Porto to negotiate a deal for Martinez, as Milan look to revolutionise their playing staff following the €480 million investment from Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan are willing to meet the €35 million release clause for the Colombian striker after Valencia reportedly offered €30m for the player.

It is believed a deal for Martinez could be wrapped up by Wednesday evening.

Martinez bagged 21 goals in 30 Primeira Liga matches last season as Porto finished second to Benfica.

Milan are also trying to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to Serie A, after the Swede agreed to return to the Stadio Meazza.
