Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka has refused to join Italian side Inter and looks set for a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Ukrainian international was seemingly on the verge of a move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza but has rejected the chance to join Inter after a phone call with the Nerazzurri hierarchy.
According to Turkish website Haber.Stargundem.com, Konoplyanka turned down an offer from Inter because they are not in European competition next season.
Inter only finished in eighth place last season in Serie A meaning they will not play in Europe despite competing in the Europa League during the last campaign.
Konoplyanka is likely to move during the transfer window, with Tottenham Hotspur favourites, with the winger’s contract expiring at the end of June.
The Ukrainian has made over 150 appearances during his time at Dnipro.
The Nerazzurri will now turn their attention to Mohamed Salah who has been constantly linked with a move to Inter this summer.
We need to sign Benteke, Alderweireld and Yevhen Konoplyanka, Scheiderlin would be nice too if UTD don’t sign him, with those four we would for sure be contenders next season. It would cost roughly £50M but we could recoup most if not all from the sales of Paulinho, Capoue, Dembele, Townsend, Adebayor or Soldado, Kaboul, Chiriches & Lennon. IF ONLY !!!
Seems he is on a plane to Madrid (atletico).. Would have been a good signing for Bayern aswell.
There are a plethora of good players available, if we can’t get Schneiderlin, then go get Cabaye or Song, If we don’t get Alderweireld, then get abdennour, if we don’t get Koniplyanka, get Mortals(tho I would like both), as I see our weakness as the two wider midfield players…
Forget Benteke please! but if the other two players Konplyanka and Alderweireld are true Levy must break the bank these two are world class don`t cock it up Levy look else where for another striker .
