Gonzalo Higuain NapoliManchester City would have set their sights on Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, with the Premier League club looking to a number of players to improve their current squad.

With a number of forwards having proved unsatisfactory, other than Sergio Aguero, Manchester City would be looking to boost their attacking options with the likes of Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko linked to moves away.

ESPN report of Manchester City’s interest in the 27-year-old striker, adding that the English giants would also be monitoring Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

According to the American media, Napoli would not be averse to releasing their striker, but only if the €88m release clause is paid.

Higuain joined Napoli in 2013 from Real Madrid, making 69 appearances and scoring 35 goals during his Serie A stint.

  1. Higuain is a good striker but i doubt if city will ever dole out 88 million Euro for a 27 million old striker. Just my thoughts anyway

This player is good and such “blood presure” is what we might be looking at City except that the amount charged is too high
