Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has said that he can emulate how icon Zinedine Zidane played for the club.

Argentine Dybala opted to inherit the Bianconeri’s number 21 shirt – left vacant after Andrea Pirlo’s departure – and he says he has no qualms about following in the legendary duo’s footsteps for the Turin giants.

“At Juventus this shirt has had players like Zidane,” said the youngster, acknowledging the history of his employers.

“Can I play as a playmaker like Zizou? It’s a role that I had in Argentina.

“The coach of the first team put me up front at Palermo and I scored them more goals.

“I can play attacking midfielder or striker.”

Dybala scored 13 Serie A goals last season for Palermo, a key factor in his €32 million switch to Juventus last month.
