Carlos Tevez has officially completed his move to Boca Juniors, returning to the club he left back in 2004.
After helping the Bianconeri to a domestic double and the Champions League final, the Argentine striker expressed his wish to leave Juventus to rejoin his boyhood club.
The transfer has now become official, with Boca Juniors paying €6.5 million to complete the 31-year-old’s move back to Argentina, according to Juventus’ official website.
As part of the deal, Juventus will pay Boca €3.5 million for the loan of Guido Nahuel Vadala, with an option to buy for a further €9.4 million to be paid no later than April 20, 2017.
Furthermore, the Bianconeri have secured options on Rodrigo Bentancur Colman, Franco Sebastian Cristaldo and Adrian Andres Cubas for €1 million each, to be paid before December 31. These transfers combined effectively mean that Juve will pay Boca €6.5 million for four players on loan and earn the same amount for Tevez.
Should the Bianconeri exercise their right to sign Colman, they would have to pay an additional €9.4 million, €8.2 million for Cristaldo and €6.9 million for Cubas. Those three players will remain in Argentina, however, and only be available for purchase from the 2017-18 season, as long as Juventus pay the full sum for any of them by April 20.
