Higuain - NapoliManchester City are ready to let Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko leave the club this summer in order to finance a move for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.

With the Montenegrin set to complete a move to Inter on Tuesday and Dzeko’s future at the club in serious doubt, it appears as though the English giants have identified the Argentine international as their ideal signing in order to strengthen their attack.

The Sun report that City are looking to raise the necessary funds through the sales of Jovetic and Dzeko in order to pay Higuain’s transfer fee along with his high wages.

With Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis only recently stating that the striker will not be leaving Naples this summer, it remains to be seen whether City would be willing to pay his reported €95 million release clause.

Higuain joined Napoli from Real Madrid in 2013 and has gone on to score 53 goals in 102 appearances for the Azzurri in all competitions.
