Manchester City ready to propose swap deal to bring in Juventus star

Manchester City are reported to have offered Juventus the services of David Silva plus cash in exchange for star midfielder Paul Pogba.

The 22-year-old is the subject of much speculation with Barcelona presidential candidate, Joan Laporta “promising” to deliver the Frenchman’s signature in 2016 if elected.

However, Tuttosport reports that Manchester City are prepared to offer attacking midfielder David Silva plus €65 million in the hope of bringing the France international to the Etihad stadium.

Calcio News 24 adds that the Citizens may be willing to hand Pogba a contract worth €12 million a season.

It is believed that the proposal would appeal to coach Massimiliano Allegri who is seeking a new playmaker for his side, with the tricky Spaniard fitting that description.

However, rumours suggest that the Bianconeri would rather sell Arturo Vidal which would allow them to keep Pogba and bring in another creative midfielder.

Chelsea duo Oscar and Juan Cuadrado are the frontrunners to fill that position should the Chilean midfielder leave Turin.

What complete twaddle! No club would consider such a deal. Maybe Yaya but Silva. Never!

  3. Bluemoon says:

Haha, that is the worse story I think I have seen all summer! Silva is Citys best player, a magician, a genius. There is no way the City board would entertain swapping him plus a laughable 65million for Pogba. Maybe if Juve offered that to us, we might consider it!

David Silva is in my opinion City’s greatest ever player. I wouldn’t swap him for Pogba plus 20mill. City are signing a few pacey players so we can counter attack better and have a plan B – so why on earth would they then sell their most creative player who would provide the bullets for these counter attacks!!! City legend, El Mago/Merlin…
