Inter misfit Marco Andreolli in a bid to strengthen their defence on the final day of the transfer window in Italy.

The 29-year-old has been out of favour ever since his move to the Nerazzurri back in 2013 and Viola coach Paulo Sousa ready to give the Italian a new home.

Reports from Sky Sport Italia state that Andreolli wishes to move to the Viola instead of Bologna, in an attempt to revitalise his career after leaving Chievo for Inter two years ago.

Andreolli rejected the chance to move to the newly promoted Rossoblu and Atalanta in August, but the call of Europa League football could finally tempt him away from his commitment to Roberto Mancini’s Inter.

The centre-back has made just 10 appearances for his current club, scoring once, with a move to Fiorentina to join up with the likes of Davide Astori and Gonzalo Rodriguez well on the cards.
