winger Xherdan Shaqiri does not appear any closer to joining Premier League side Stoke City despite being at the Britannia Stadium at the weekend to watch the Potters play Liverpool.
The Swiss international’s future at the Stadio Meazza is all but over but where he will be playing his football next season is still a mystery.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Shaqiri is still holding out for a move back to Germany with Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga side have made initial enquiries into signing the former Bayern Munich star and could be set to make a formal offer once the expected sale of Polish winger Jakub Blaszczykowski is confirmed.
Shaqiri has failed to settle in Italy since arriving in January and managed just one goal in 15 league appearances for Inter.
