Inter are exploring the possibility of bringing Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva to the club before the closure of the current transfer window.
The 28-year-old has failed to command a regular starting place on Merseyside in recent times under manager Brendan Rodgers.
According to Tuttosport, Leiva’s agent Kia Joorabchian will arrive in Italy tomorrow ahead of talks with the Nerazzurri hierarchy as the Brazil international looks for a route out of England.
Liverpool boss Rodgers had initially issued a hands-off warning regarding the former Gremio player but has since changed his mind and is now open to a deal being done. Juventus have also been linked with a move for the defensive midfielder .
Leiva has made 196 appearances for The Reds since arriving in 2007, scoring three goals and has amassed 24 caps for the Selecao.
