Liverpool forward Fabio Borini has rejected an offer from Premier League club Sunderland.
The 24-year-old forward has been linked with a move away from the Merseyside club during the current transfer window.
Just this past week his international compatriot and former teammate Mario Balotelli sealed a loan deal back to his former club AC Milan.
According to British newspaper The Independent, Liverpool have accepted a €13 million offer from The Black Cats. Borini having already worn the shirt of Sunderland has reportedly rejected the move in favour of a move back to Italy.
Inter and Fiorentina have made Borini a transfer target this summer as Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has continuously made it clear the player’s future is elsewhere.
Borini has failed to impress at The Reds since sealing a move from Roma in 2012, having made 38 appearances and scoring just three goals.
