Inter, claiming there were too many problems and conflicts at the club.

The Swiss International’s stay with the Nerazzurri was short-lived, as he was sold to English Premier league side Stoke for €17 million after just seven months in Milan, a stint which the 23-year-old says he’s glad to have escaped from.

“It’s true that my time at Inter was very short, and I’m happy about that,” Shaqiri said during his unveiling at his new club.

“There were too many things that just weren’t right there.

“Therefore I’m very happy that the adventure was short-lived, and even more so to be here [at Stoke].

Shaqiri failed to accustom to life in Italy under Inter coach Roberto Mancini, and as a consequence played just 15 games, only one of which he managed to score in.
