Udinese coach Stefano Colantuono was pleased with his side’s performance despite losing 1-0 to Palermo at the Stadio Friuli in Serie A on Sunday evening.

The Zebrette lost to an eighth minute goal by Luca Rigoni but the 52-year-old felt they outplayed their opponents and were unlucky not to get anything from the game.

“We played a great game apart from the goal we conceded at the beginning,” Colantuono told reporters after the match.

“We played good football for 70 minutes in their penalty area, but just could not score.

“We played better tonight against Palermo than against Juventus, but just did not get the right result.”

Udinese’s next Serie A game sees them travel to Rome to take on Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.
