Former Liverpool captain and midfielder Steven Gerrard believes that no coach will be able to truly manage Mario Balotelli.
Balotelli, has been loaned to AC Milan after struggling to make an impact at Liverpool following his move from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in 2014, but did impress in the Milan derby at the weekend against Inter.
“After his promising debut against Tottenham, he lapsed in training and the subsequent games,” Gerrard reveals in his book ‘My Story’.
“His demeanour was very poor. I made my up mind pretty quickly after that about him.
“We got on fine. I still tried to help him and I kept looking for chances to praise him but I could see why [Jose] Mourinho said Balotelli is unmanageable.
“He is very talented with the potential to be world class, but he’ll never get there because of his mentality and the people around him.”
I agree with Garrard. I think most Italian fans are aware of this. It’s a shame but Balotelli made his bed. We’ll see what happens at Milan under Sinisa.
