Atalanta striker Mauricio Pinilla revealed his pleasure at scoring his first headed goal for the club.

La Dea cruised to a 3-0 victory over Carpi at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in Serie A on Sunday afternoon with Pinilla getting on the scoresheet along with Alejandro Gomez and Luca Cigarini.

“It was a difficult game against a tough team like Carpi,” 31-year-old Pinilla told reporters after the match.

“Let’s enjoy the victory because there will be a lot of tough fixtures ahead.”

The 31-yaer-old Chilean international then spoke of his joy to score his first header for the club.

“It was the first headed goal that I’ve scored for Atalanta.

“I dedicate it to my wife who celebrated her birthday yesterday.”

Atalanta currently sit in eighth place in the Serie A table, with their next fixture a tough task as they travel away to reigning champions Juventus on October 25.
